Marines destroy five enemy tanks, four Msta-B howitzers, more than 60 invaders in past day

On October 6, Ukrainian marines eliminated more than 60 Russian invaders, destroyed four enemy Msta-B howitzers and five tanks.

The press service of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.

"On October 6, service members of the military units and subdivisions of the Marine Corps Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of the grouping steadfastly and courageously resisted the Russian invaders on the fortified areas of the front. Over the past 24 hours, the marines have destroyed more than 60 invaders and a truck," the report reads.

In addition, the artillery units of the Ukrainian Naval Forces struck concentrations of Russian manpower and equipment. As a result of the strikes, the artillery of the Naval Forces destroyed five enemy tanks, a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, four Msta-B towed howitzers, a Pion self-propelled gun, and two infantry fighting vehicles. Enemy losses are being further verified.

As Ukrinform reported, from February 24 to October 7, 2022, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 61,680 Russian invaders and destroyed 2,466 enemy tanks.
