Ukrainian forces shoot down Shahed drone with machine gun in Mykolaiv region
In the Mykolaiv region, soldiers of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade shot down a Shahed-136 suicide drone using a large-caliber machine gun.
The Command of the Ukrainian Air Force said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
"On the morning of October 8, in the Mykolaiv region, soldiers of a mobile fire group of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade shot down a Shahed-136 kamikaze drone with an Utyos large-caliber machine gun," the report said.
The command stressed that Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners will not stop until "they turn the Russian invaders in the Ukrainian sky into scrap metal."
Late on October 7, Ukraine's air defense forces shot down three Iranian-made Shahed-136 kamikaze drones used by the Russian invaders to attack the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions.
