Enemy fires at Nikopol, injuring a child
The Russians fired more than 100 shells at Nikopol. A child was seriously injured.
"The Russians tortured Nikopol district all night long... A 6-year-old girl was seriously injured... The district came under enemy Grad and heavy artillery fire seven times," Valentyn Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.
It is noted that more than 100 shells were fired at Nikopol. One of them slammed into a private house, injuring a 6-year-old girl and her mother. They and another woman injured in the attack are now in serious condition in the hospital.
More than three dozen apartment blocks and private houses, gas pipelines, and power lines were hit in the town. Two enterprises, two kindergartens, a school, shops, and the charity organization office were damaged.
No casualties were reported in Marhanets and Myrove communities. The destruction scale is being assessed.
