PM Shmyhal: Russia caused damage to 28 energy facilities over three days
Over the past three days, over 200 different objects have been damaged in Russian attacks on the territory of Ukraine, including 28 energy infrastructure facilities.
The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“For three days in a row, the enemy has been launching missile strikes and using suicide drones against our civil and energy infrastructure. Over the past day alone, three regions of Ukraine have come under enemy fire eight times. Over the past three days, 128 enemy attacks have been recorded. As a result, over 200 different objects were damaged, including 28 energy infrastructure facilities,” Shmyhal noted.
In his words, Russian troops attacked both generating and power distribution facilities.
“Russian terrorist troops fired over 100 missiles and drones at Ukrainian cities. However, thanks to the incredible efforts of our anti-aircraft defense units, we have avoided critical damage. Ukraine’s energy system is operating as scheduled,” Shmyhal stressed.
A reminder that, in the morning of October 10, 2022, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine’s territory. As a result, a total of 19 people were killed and over 100 injured. Critical infrastructure facilities were damaged in the capital city and other regions. On October 11-12, 2022, Russia continued missile strikes on Ukraine’s territory.
