Zelensky: Helping Ukraine protect its skies is one of the most important humanitarian tasks
The more audacious and cruel Russian terror becomes, the more obvious it is to the world that helping Ukraine protect its skies is one of the most important humanitarian tasks for Europe.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in a new video address, Ukrinform reports.
"Another meeting took place today in the format of the defense 'Ramstein.' Quite productive. First of all, they discussed providing our country with anti-aircraft and anti-missile defense systems. The more audacious and cruel Russian terror becomes, the more obvious it is to the world that helping Ukraine to protect the sky is one of the most important humanitarian tasks for Europe of our time. I believe that we will cope with this task," he said.
Zelensky thanked Ukraine's partners who have already decided to strengthen such support for the country - for effective air defense.
He added that there was positive news from a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group related to the additional strengthening of the Ukrainian army with modern artillery.
The head of state also praised Ukrainian Air Force fighters in the southern direction, where, in particular, four Russian attack helicopters and more than ten Iranian-made drones were shot down.
