Three buildings destroyed in fire caused by Russia’s shelling of Kupiansk
Three buildings have been destroyed in a fire caused by Russia’s shelling of the liberated city of Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region.
The relevant statement was made by the Main Department of the Ukrainian State Emergency Service in the Kharkiv region on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“In the morning of October 13, 2022, the enemy again opened fire on the city of Kupiansk, having caused a fire in a store. The fire spread to the neighboring shopping facilities. In general, three buildings with a total area of 300 square meters burnt down,” the report states.
According to rescuers, no casualties were reported.
A reminder that Russian troops seized the city of Kupiansk on February 27, 2022. During the counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated Kupiansk from Russian invaders on September 10, 2022.
