Ukrainian aircraft launch 13 strikes on enemy positions in southern Ukraine
Ukraine's Armed Forces aircraft launched 13 strikes on the enemy's strongholds, areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and equipment in southern Ukraine on October 14.
Ukraine's Operational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
"The situation in the Southern Bug direction is quite tense, but under control. The enemy conducts an active defense and tries to hold the occupied lines. During the combat day, the enemy fired at our troops using aircraft, MLRS, field artillery and mortars along the line of contact. In order to clarify the position of our troops and adjust artillery fire, the enemy intensified aerial reconnaissance, in particular in the Bashtanka and Beryslav districts," the report said.
Last evening, Russian forces fired about a dozen Grad and Uragan MLRS shells at Marhanets and Dobra Nadiia in the Nikopol district, Dnipropetrovsk region. The extent of the damage is being determined. According to preliminary information, no one was hurt.
The enemy attacked the area of Davydiv Brid six times with attack and army aircraft.
Ukrainian Air Force of aircraft retaliated with 13 strikes, including on enemy strongholds, areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and equipment, in particular, on air defense positions, control points and ammunition depots.
Confirmed enemy losses include 18 soldiers, two Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, two Grad multiple rocket launchers, a Pion self-propelled gun, four armored vehicles, as well as an ammunition warehouse in the Beryslav district.
In addition, Ukrainian forces damaged three Msta-S self-propelled howitzers, a Grad multiple rocket launcher, a Giatsint-B large-caliber gun, a tank and other armored vehicles.
"Meanwhile, in the occupied territories, the Rashists are intensifying checks at checkpoints, filtering measures have become stricter - they carefully check the contents of phones and other gadgets, thoroughly searching cars and personal belongings, breaking into houses," the Ukrainian military said.
In the Skadovsk and Kherson districts, the Russians kidnapped two people for their pro-Ukrainian position. In the center of Kherson, the occupiers stole work clothes, shoes and money from one of the offices. Laboratory equipment, household and office equipment, and other property were stolen from the territory of an agricultural enterprise in the Beryslav district.
