Ukraine’s missile and artillery units perform more than 110 fire missions in south

In the south of Ukraine, the missile and artillery units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces performed more than 110 fire missions, Ukrainian aviation launched two strikes, in particular on the enemy's air defense systems.

"Our missile and artillery units performed more than 110 fire missions, aviation launched two strikes, in particular on enemy's air defense systems in the temporarily occupied territories. An enemy attempt to launch airstrikes on our positions in Kherson region was repelled. An enemy helicopter was destroyed," the Operational Command "South" posted on Facebook.

The enemy losses as a result of the launched strikes are being clarified.

According to the command, the situation in the operational area in the Southern Buh direction is consistently tense but controlled. The Defense Forces of Ukraine maintain fire control and the initiative.

The enemy tries to hold the occupied lines, fires at the Ukrainian positions and territorial communities adjacent to the front, using aviation, rockets, artillery, and mortars.

The invaders also continue to launch strikes with kamikaze drones in the rear areas, trying to hit infrastructure facilities.

The enemy is actively conducting aerial reconnaissance to expose Ukrainian positions and adjust artillery fire.

Last night, the air defense units of Ukraine shot down six enemy drones over Mykolaiv region, two – over Kherson region, and five drones – over the south of Dnipropetrovsk region. A Russian Orlan-10 drone, which was scouting the situation along the front line, was also downed.

As the Operational Command "South" informs, there is a moderate storm in the Black Sea which can create prerequisites for increased mine danger in the coastal zone.

According to the command, 11 enemy warships are maneuvering off the coast of Crimea, including two large landing ships and three missile carriers with 12 Kalibr missiles on board.

Grain corridors operate according to schedules and guarantees provided at the international level.

As reported, overnight into October 15, the air defense units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed seven enemy air targets, including a Russian attack helicopter.

Russian troops struck Nikopol district of Dnipropetrovsk region with MLRS and heavy artillery at night. Nikopol, Marhanets, and Chervonohryhorivka communities came under enemy fire. Civilians were injured, infrastructure was damaged.
