Enemy fires more than 40 shells at Nikopol overnight

Russian forces fired more than 40 shells at Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. One person was wounded.

Valentyn Reznichenko, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“They used Grad MLRS and heavy artillery to strike two communities – Nikopol and Marhanets,” he wrote.

According to him, Nikopol was affected the most. The enemy fired more than 40 shells at the city. A 47-year-old man was wounded.

Firefighters have already extinguished fires caused by the enemy shelling. Almost 30 apartment blocks and private buildings, an industrial enterprise, cars, several gas pipelines and power lines were damaged in the city. More than 1,500 families were left without electricity.

Power engineers are repairing networks.

No casualties were reported in the Marhanets community.

In other districts, air raid sirens went off, but there were no attacks. The situation is calm as of now.
