Russian armed aggression affects over 1,251 children in Ukraine

A total of 430 children have been killed and over 821 injured in Ukraine since the Russian invasion started.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“As of October 25, 2022, over 1,251 children in Ukraine were affected by the Russian armed aggression. According to the data from juvenile prosecutors, a total of 430 children were killed and over 821 received injuries of various severity levels,” the report states.

These data are not final, as they are being investigated within the areas of hostilities, temporarily occupied and liberated areas.

Currently, most casualties were recorded in the Donetsk region (419), Kharkiv region (260), Kyiv region (116), Mykolaiv region (77), Zaporizhzhia region (70), Chernihiv region (68), Luhansk region (64), Kherson region (57), and Dnipropetrovsk region (31).

On October 24, 2022, a 12-year-old boy was injured in Russia’s shelling of the Zaporizhzhia region’s village of Prymorske.

As a result of Russia’s daily air and artillery strikes, a total of 2,667 educational institutions were damaged across Ukraine, and 331 of them were destroyed completely.
