Border guards stop enemy reconnaissance groups in Siversky direction
The units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine stopped the advance of enemy intelligence in Siversky direction.
“In the afternoon [October 28], the enemy tried to scout the approaches to a position using a drone. The fire was opened on the enemy object, after which it began to decline sharply and eventually fell. At nightfall, two enemy ground reconnaissance groups tried to approach the observation posts set up by the border guards along the Siverskyi Donets River from the opposite bank of the river,” the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs.
The advance of the invaders was stopped with concentrated fire. The enemy made no further reconnaissance attempts in this direction.
As of the morning of October 29, Russian troops continue their attempts to go on the offensive in Bakhmut and Avdiivka directions. Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled the enemy attacks in the areas of Vodiane, Kamyanka, and Nevelske settlements of Donetsk region.
