Ukrainian military shoot down Russia’s Iskander-K missile fired at Zaporizhzhia
The Ukrainian man-portable air-defense system crew has detected and shot down Russia’s Iskander-K missile, approaching the city of Zaporizhzhia.
The relevant statement was made by the East Air Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“One more cruise missile from Rostov has not reached the target. Today the man-portable air-defense system crew has detected and shot at the enemy Iskander-K missile, flying towards the city of Zaporizhzhia,” the report states.
As a result, the Russian missile changed its course and fell in a deserted place.
The Ukrainian soldier who operated the man-portable air-defense system will be recommended for a reward for “skilful and timely actions”, the East Air Command noted.
