Russians create unlivable conditions in Kherson region – South Operational Command
In the temporarily occupied areas of the Kherson region, Russian invaders are creating unlivable conditions for civilians, namely interrupting power and water supply services, and blocking access to the Internet.
The relevant statement was made by the South Operational Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The situation in our responsibility zone and the Southern Bug operational district is tense but stable and controlled. The enemy continues to open fire on the units of the Defense Forces along the contact line, using multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), cannon artillery and mortars; build fortification structures within the frontiers and conduct air reconnaissance; strike critical infrastructure and settlements in the near-front area and in the rear, violating international humanitarian law, the laws and customs of war,” the report states.
In the afternoon of October 30, 2022, Russian troops shelled the Mykolaiv region’s Kutsurub community with MLRS and heavy artillery. No casualties or destructions were reported.
Russian strike aircraft and helicopters attacked the positions of Ukrainian forces and the Beryslav district’s liberated settlements three times. Ukrainian air forces attacked enemy personnel and military equipment units three times in response, and the Ukrainian anti-aircraft gunners successfully shot down another Russian Su-25 strike aircraft.
The missile and artillery units of the Defense Forces completed 156 fire missions in southern Ukraine. The enemy’s losses were confirmed as follows: 27 Russian invaders, one tank, two mortars, one Akatsiya self-propelled gun, one 23-mm anti-aircraft gun, and five armored vehicles. Two enemy ammunition depots were destroyed in the Bashtanka district and the Beryslav district.
At the same time, within the temporarily occupied areas of the Kherson region, Russian invaders are creating unlivable conditions for civilians. In particular, Russian occupation authorities are interrupting power and water supply services, blocking access to the Internet, threatening people with missile strikes allegedly launched by the Ukrainian Army, campaigning for urgent evacuation.
As the top priority, Russian forces are taking out health facilities together with personnel and operational services. Additionally, they demand that local entrepreneurs urgently sell food products, close shops and markets.
