Ukraine's air defenses down 44 out of more than 50 cruise missiles fired by Russia
Ukraine's air defense forces early on Monday shot down 44 out of more than 50 hostile missiles during a Russian missile attack on critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, the command of the Ukrainian Air Force said this in a statement on Telegram.
"At 07:00 on October 31, the Russian occupiers launched several waves of missile attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure," the report said.
It said that more than 50 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles had been fired from Tu-95/Tu-160 strategic aircraft from the north of the Caspian Sea and from the area of Volgodonsk (Rostov region).
The forces and means of the Air Command Center brought down 18 missiles, Air Command South - 12, Air Command East - 9, and Air Command West – 5, the command said.
