Ukrainian air forces launch 22 strikes on enemy targets – General Staff
Over the past day, Ukraine’s air forces have struck three Russian air defense missile system positions, and artillery units have destroyed an enemy ammunition depot.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops are trying to hold the temporarily occupied areas, focusing efforts on restraining the actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in certain directions. At the same time, the enemy is conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions.
Russian invaders are shelling the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces along the contact line, building fortifications in certain directions and conducting air reconnaissance.
The enemy continues to strike critical infrastructure and civilian houses in violation of international humanitarian law, and the laws and customs of war.
Over the past day, Russian troops have launched four missile strikes and 26 air strikes, and opened fire with MLRS over 27 times.
Over 20 settlements came under enemy fire, including the Zaporizhzhia region’s Mykilske, as well as Poltava, Kramatorsk, Nikopol and Mykolaiv.
The threat of new missile and UCAV attacks, namely from the territory of Belarus, is persisting.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. Belarus continues to support Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine.
In the Siverskyi direction, Russian troops opened fire with mortars and cannon artillery near the Chernihiv region’s Senkivka and Hai, and the Sumy region’s Oleksandrivka and Vovkivka.
In the Slobozhanskyi direction, Russians launched artillery strikes near such settlements as Vilkhuvatka, Vovchansk, Kozacha Lopan, Krasne, Mylove, Starytsia, Strilecha, Veterynarne and Chuhunivka.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian invaders used mortars, cannon and rocket artillery to open fire near Dvorichna, Kucherivka, Kupiansk, Kyselivka, Berestove, Hrekivka, Nevske, Osynove, Terny and Torske.
In the Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched artillery strikes near Zelenopillia, Berestove, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Ivanhrad, Soledar, Spirne, Bilohorivka, Opytne and Yakovlivka.
In the Avdiivka direction, Russians used various artillery systems to open fire near Avdiivka, Marinka, Vodiane, Paraskoviivka, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske and Nevelske.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy opened fire with mortars, cannon and rocket artillery near Bohoyavlenka, Pavlivka, Velyka Novosilka, Prechystivka, Vuhledar, Vremivka and Neskuchne.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russian troops launched artillery strikes near Huliaipilske, Zaliznychne, Dorozhnianka, Stepove, Olhivske, Malynivka, Novodanylivka and Chervone.
In the Southern Bug direction, settlements located near the contact line came under enemy fire. Russian invaders struck the city of Nikopol with MLRS.
Russian occupiers continue to forcibly relocate civilians in the temporarily occupied areas of the Kherson region. The enemy intimidates civilians, spreading information about the possible undermining of the Kakhovska HPP dam. At the same time, local residents are deprived of communication means.
Russia’s occupation administration of Kherson moved to the city of Skadovsk.
The Russian command is trying to compensate for consistent personnel losses in the enemy units directly involved in hostilities on Ukraine’s territory with mobilized servicemen. Russia’s FSB employees carry out the so-called ‘work’ with those who refuse to participate in combat operations.
According to the updated information, enemy ammunition depots in the Zaporizhzhia region were confirmed as destroyed on October 29, 2022. In addition, enemy personnel clusters were struck and five military equipment units were destroyed. Russians lost up to 30 troops in killed and about 100 in wounded.
Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have launched 22 strikes, hitting 19 enemy ammunition and military equipment clusters, and three air defense missile system positions. The Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense units shot down two Orlan-10 UAVs and six Shahed-136 UCAVs across different directions.
