Ukrainian forces strike enemy positions 70 times in southern Ukraine
In southern Ukraine, the rocket and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out 70 fire missions against the positions, areas of concentration of manpower, weapons and equipment of the Russian invaders.
Ukraine's Operational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
"During the night, the rocket and artillery units of the Defense Forces struck enemy positions, areas of concentration of manpower, equipment and weapons and carried out 70 fire missions at specified targets," the report said.
Enemy losses during the previous night are being determined.
The situation in the Southern Buh area, according to the command, remains "quite tense" but controlled by the Defense Forces.
The enemy continues to conduct defensive operations and tries to hold the occupied lines, fortifying positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River and forcing residents of the surrounding settlements to leave their places of residence on the right bank of the river. At the same time, the invaders do not stop limiting the use of vessels and access to the shore.
"As a result of the barbaric strategy of massive explosions of watercraft and vessels located near the piers and moorings of the Dnipro and its tributaries, the Rashists have created a colossal ecological threat. Tonnes of fuel leaking from the damaged vessels are now heading downstream into the Dnipro delta, towards the protected area of the Nyzhniodniprovskyi National Nature Park," the report said.
