Ukraine may receive new air and missile defense systems by year-end – Kuleba
Ukraine may receive new air and missile defense systems by the end of the year, agreements on supplies are currently in the process of implementation.
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said this during a nationwide telethon on Ukrainian TV channels, Ukrinform reports referring to nv.ua.
"We have a rule: we don't comment on supplies until the supplying country makes an announcement or we agree that we can talk about it. A lot is being worked out, starting with air defense systems. There are already agreements reached both by the president and at the government level with some countries. There are things that are being arranged for the future," Kuleba said.
According to him, there are certain agreements on air and missile defense systems that are currently in the process of implementation.
As Ukrinform earlier reported, the U.S. Department of Defense announced the allocation of a new security assistance package for Ukraine in the amount of about $400 million under the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI).
