Seventy-two Russian projectiles hit Sumy region’s community, casualties reported
Seventy-two Russian projectiles have struck the Sumy region’s Vorozhba community oiver the past day. One civilian was killed and one injured.
The relevant statement was made by Sumy Regional Military Administration Head Dmytro Zhyvytskyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to Zhyvytskyi, Russian troops used cannon artillery at first. Enemy projectiles hit streets, yards and detached houses.
A 62-year-old woman was killed with shrapnel in her vegetable garden. One more local resident was injured.
Later, the enemy shelled the Vorozhba community with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
As a result, three detached houses were damaged, and one of them was destroyed nearly completely.
Additionally, power transmission lines and gas pipes were damaged. Repair crews are working at the scene.
Zhyvytskyi noted that Russian projectiles had also exploded near an apartment block, causing damage to three apartments.
