Ukrainian air forces launch 16 strikes: Russian command posts, air defense systems hit
Over the past day, Ukrainian air forces have launched 16 strikes on enemy targets, hitting four Russian command posts and four air defense system positions.
The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the General Staff, Russian troops are trying to hold the temporarily occupied areas and focusing efforts on restraining the actions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in certain directions. The enemy is conducting offensive actions in the Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlivka directions.
Russian invaders are opening fire on the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces along the contact line, setting up fortification structures in certain directions and conducting air reconnaissance.
Russian troops continue to strike critical infrastructure and civilian houses in violation of international humanitarian law, and the laws and customs of war.
Over the past day, the enemy has launched three missile strikes and 10 air strikes. Settlements in such regions as Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson came under enemy fire.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation remained rather unchanged. Belarus continues to support Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, providing Russian troops with infrastructure, territory and airspace. The formation of Russian-Belarusian grouping of troops on the territory of Belarus continues. The threat of enemy air strikes, using unmanned combat aerial vehicles (UCAVs) from the territory and airspace of Belarus, is persisting.
In other directions, Russian troops opened fire as follows:
in the Siverskyi direction – near the Sumy region’s Obody, Pavlivka and Pokrovka, with mortars, rocket and cannon artillery;
in the Slobozhanskyi direction – near the Kharkiv region’s Ambarne, Budarka, Vilkhuvatka, Dvorichna, Kozacha Lopan, Krasne, Ohirtseve, Sosnivka, Starytsia, with tanks, mortars, rocket and cannon artillery;
in the Kupiansk and Lyman directions – near the Kharkiv region’s Vyshneve, Kupiansk, Krokhmalne and Kyslivka, the Luhansk region’s Hrekivka, Miasozharivka, Makiivka and Nevske, and the Donetsk region’s Lyman, Terny, Torske and Yampolivka, with different artillery systems;
in the Bakhmut direction – near the Donetsk region’s Andriivka, Bakhmut, Bakhmutske, Bilohorivka, Zalizne, Klishchiivka, Maiorsk, Opytne, Pivnichne, Rozdolivka, Soledar and Yakovlivka, with tanks, mortars, cannon artillery and multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS);
in the Avdiivka direction – near the Donetsk region’s Avdiivka, Vodiane, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Nevelske, Novomykhailivka, Opytne and Pervomaiske, with tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery;
in the Novopavlivka direction – near the Donetsk region’s Velyka Novosilka, Volodymyrivka, Vremivka, Vuhledar, Mykilske, Neskuchne, Novopil, Pavlivka and Prechystivka, with tanks, mortars, cannon and rocket artillery;
in the Zaporizhzhia direction – near the Zaporizhzhia region’s Varvarivka, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Mali Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Olhivske, Stepove, Temyrivka, Uspenivka and Charivne, with different artillery systems.
In the Southern Bug direction, over 30 settlements, bordering with the contact line, were shelled with Russian tanks, mortars, barrel and rocket artillery, namely the Kherson region’s Blahodatne, Nova Kamianka and Sukhyi Stavok, and the Mykolaiv region’s Vasylivka, Kobzartsi and Shyroke.
Russian invaders continue to loot and destroy civil infrastructure in the Kherson region’s temporarily occupied areas. On November 7, 2022, the convoys of trucks with household appliances and construction materials moved across the Kakhovska HPP dam. The enemy continues to dismantle and remove equipment from mobile communication towers of the Ukrainian mobile network operators.
Near the city of Beryslav, Russian occupiers blew up power transmission lines and the equipment of a solar power plant. The enemy took away all artistic values, furniture and equipment from Kherson Regional Art Museum named after Oleksii Shovkunenko.
In order to investigate significant personnel losses in the 155th Separate Marine Brigade of Russia’s Armed Forces, a group of representatives of Russia’s Investigative Committee was sent to the city of Donetsk.
In the Zaporizhzhia region’s Melitopol district and Mykhailivka district, Russian invaders are forcing local residents to obtain Russian passports. Additionally, they are taking away the passports of Ukrainian citizens and threatening people with relocation.
