Equipment and ammunition production: Ukraine, Czech Republic to create joint defense cluster
Defense enterprises of Ukraine and the Czech Republic will create a joint defense cluster.
This is said in a joint statement of Ukroboronprom and the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic, which was published on the Telegram channel of the state concern, Ukrinform reports.
As noted, State Concern Ukroboronprom and the Intergovernmental Defense Cooperation Agency (AMOS) under the Czech Ministry of Defense signed an agreement on the establishment of a joint defense cluster in accordance with the agreements reached last week between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala.
"The creation of a defense cluster involves the production of military equipment, an increase in the production of ammunition of various calibers (both at existing capacities and newly created ones in safe places), the development of service hubs for the maintenance and repairs of weapons and military equipment, as well as cooperation in the field of high technologies, in particular, the creation of joint research centers," the statement reads.
It is noted that the implementation of these plans will involve leading Ukrainian and Czech defense enterprises, as well as international financial donors.
As reported, on October 31, a delegation of the Czech government led by Prime Minister Petr Fiala paid a working visit to Ukraine.
