Sunak confirms Britain will provide 25,000 winter kits for Ukrainian military

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in a phone call with President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed that Britain will continue providing further military aid to Ukraine, including another 1,000 surface-to-air missiles and more than 25,000 extreme cold winter kits for troops.

This was reported by the press service of the UK Government, according to Ukrinform.

It is noted that Sunak praised the bravery of the Ukrainian armed forces and reiterated the UK’s unwavering military, economic and political support.

The leaders also agreed that any Russian withdrawal from the occupied city of Kherson would demonstrate strong progress for the Ukrainian forces and reinforce the weakness of Russia’s military offensive.

At the same time, the interlocutors agreed that it was right to continue to exercise caution until the Ukrainian flag was raised over the city.

As Ukrinform reported, President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak discussed defense support for Ukraine, assistance for passing the winter period and coordinated positions ahead of international events.
