In Kharkiv region, enemy shells civilian population in areas adjacent to contact line
Fierce fighting is ongoing in Kharkiv region in many areas near the contact line and the border with the Russian Federation.
Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Over the past day, the enemy has been shelling the civilian population in Kupiansk, Chuhuiv and Kharkiv districts’ settlements adjacent to the contact line and the border with the Russian Federation... Fierce fighting continues on the contact line. Our military repelled occupiers’ attacks in the areas of Masiutivka and Orlianka settlements in the Kupiansk district," the governor wrote.
According to him, in the village of Vovchanski Khutory of the Chuhuiv district, farm objects were damaged and fires broke out as a result of enemy shelling. No casualties were reported.
"In the Saltivka district of Kharkiv, a cluster munition blew up and injured two boys aged 15 and 12. The injured are hospitalized, they are provided with necessary assistance, doctors say their condition is of medium severity," Syniehubov said.
In addition, he reminded that an 80-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized following the invaders' shelling of the Chuhuiv district.
As reported, Kharkiv region is constantly under enemy fire.
