Bodies of farmers killed during Russian occupation found in Kherson region

Law enforcement officers have found the bodies of farmers killed by Russian occupiers in the Kherson region.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to the preliminary data, in August 2022, when the Vysokopillia community’s urban-type settlement of Arkhanhelske was temporarily controlled by the Russian army, the Russian military killed a married couple of farmers in their own cellar.

When conducting the investigative actions, law enforcement officers discovered the burial site, where the bodies of two victims, a man and a woman, had been buried.

A superficial examination showed that the victims had their skulls damaged. Now the bodies have been sent for forensic examination.

A reminder that Ukrainian investigative officers have already documented over 400 Russian war crimes within the Kherson region’s liberated areas.
