Ukraine asks for access to site of missile explosion in Poland - Danilov
Ukraine has requested that representatives of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense and State Border Guard Service be granted immediate access the site of a missile explosion in Poland.
Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council, said this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"We advocate for a joint examination of the incident with the missile’s landing in Poland. We are ready to hand over evidence of the Russian trace that we have. We are expecting information from our partners, based on which a conclusion was made that it’s a Ukrainian air defense missile," he said.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said earlier today that according to preliminary analysis, the incident was caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile fired to intercept a Russian missile, but it is not Ukraine’s fault, as it was defending itself against a massive Russian attack.
