Sweden announces new military aid package for Ukraine
Sweden has announced SEK 720 million worth of a new package of security assistance to Ukraine.
The press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said this on Telegram, citing Defense Minister Olekii Reznikov, Ukrinform reports.
"Good news from Scandinavia: Sweden announced another package of security assistance for Ukraine worth SEK 720m. Air defense systems, vehicles, winter equipment will help our soldiers and support Ukraine's fight," Reznikov said.
He thanked Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Defense Minister Pål Jonson and the people of Sweden.
On November 14, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said that the EU and its member states had provided at least EUR 8 billion in military equipment to Ukraine, which is about 45% of the assistance Kyiv has received from the United States.
