Ukraine supports full probe of missile incident in Poland - Kyslytsya
Ukraine advocates a full and transparent investigation to establish all facts of the tragic incident in Poland, where two people died as a result of a missile attack.
Ukraine is ready to cooperate with the Polish side to facilitate the inquiry, according to the country’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Sergiy Kyslytsya, who spoke at the meeting of the UN Security Council on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He emphasized that Ukraine expresses solidarity with the fraternal Polish people in connection with the tragedy.
At the same time, it is obvious that Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine, one of the main elements of which is regular missile terror, remains the sole root cause of violence and human suffering in Ukraine and beyond, he added.
As soon as Russia is unable to continue the war, security in the region will be immediately restored, the ambassador emphasized.
Ukraine is now defending itself against Russia's barbaric attacks, which are aimed at depriving millions of people of access to their essential needs and thus creating a humanitarian catastrophe that could reach far beyond the country's borders, he explained.
Kyslytsya thanked Ukraine’s friends and partners, in particular Poland, for their support in countering Russian attacks and working to return peace and security to the region.
As reported by Ukrinform, on Wednesday the UN Security Council is discussing the latest Russian missile attack on infrastructure facilities and residential buildings across Ukraine.
