991 bodies of civilians found in liberated areas of four Ukrainian regions - police

During the de-occupation measures, law enforcers discovered the bodies of 991 civilians in the territories of Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions liberated from the Russian invaders.

This was stated by Oleksiy Serheiev, a senior police official who spoke at a briefing on the situation on the front lines, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Regarding the de-occupation measures carried out by the National Police, in the de-occupied territories of Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions, the police ensured stabilization measures and restoration of law and order in 577 settlements. The operations of 15 police units have been restored, and 3,559 war crimes have been documented. The bodies of 991 civilians were discovered," Serheiev said.

According to the official, in total, bomb squads safely removed 33,000 explosive items.

As reported, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Denys Monastyrskyi, said that 63 bodies of tortured people were found in Kherson region.
