Belarus plans to launch production of artillery, MLRS munitions - intelligence

Belarus authorities intend to set up mass production of shells for artillery and multiple rocket launchers.

That’s according to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"The Belarusian authorities are looking for the possibility of setting up the production of component parts for 152 mm and 122 mm projectiles on the territory of their country and ensuring a closed cycle of munitions production in the future. The possibility of organizing the technological process of assembling 122-mm, 220-mm, and 300-mm projectiles from imported components is also being explored," the statement reads.

In this regard, a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Iran is scheduled for November 20-23. The agenda involves the entire cycle of projectile production: from steel smelting technology for munitions component parts to the coloring of projectiles and containers.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on November 15, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced that in the event of a repeated invasion of Russian troops from the territory of Belarus, Ukraine will open fire as soon as the enemy crosses the border.
