Russian recon unit exposed while trying to infiltrate Kharkiv region
The Russian forces attempted to deploy a sabotage and reconnaissance group in the area of Starytsia, Kharkiv region. The unit was neutralized after being exposed by Ukrainian troops.
That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.
Over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and Spirne, Berestove, Bakhmut, Kurdyumivka, Severnye, Novobakhmutivka, Krasnohorivka, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Maryinka in Donetsk region.
Over the past day, the enemy launched five missile strikes on populated areas of Kharkiv and Donetsk regions, carried out about 45 attacks with multiple rocket launch systems on the positions of Ukrainian forces, as well as on towns and villages.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the situation has not changed significantly as no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.
In the Siversky region, in Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk regions bordering Ukraine, the enemy continues to conduct demonstration and provocative activities. Jet and barrel artillery opened fire targeting the areas of Semenivka, Chernihiv region, and Novovasylivka, Kustyne, Druzhba, Vilna Sloboda, and Shalyhine, Sumy region.
In the Slobozhansky direction, in the border areas of Belgorod region, the enemy is holding a group of troops to carry out demonstration activities. The positions of Ukrainian troops periodically come under enemy mortar and artillery fire. The areas of Strelech, Hlyboke, Krasne, Izbytske, and Ohirtseve of Kharkiv region were shelled.
In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, the occupiers are on the defensive, employing tanks and artillery in the areas of Kislivka, Tabaivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove, and Vyshneve in Kharkiv region, and Novoselivske, Stelmakhivka, Makiivka, Ploshanka, Yampolivka, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut and Avdiyivka areas, the enemy is focusing its main efforts on offensive operations. The areas of Spirne, Vyimka, Berestove, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Andriyivka, Zelenopillya, Kurdyumivka, Yakovlivka, Klishchiivka, Avdiyivka, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, and Maryinka were shelled with tanks and the wide range of artillery.
The enemy is on the defensive in the Novopavlivka and Zaporizhzhia directions. Shelling was recorded of the Ukrainian positions and the areas of Vuhledar, Prechistivka, Shakhtarske, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk region and Zeleny Hay, Dorozhnyanka, Temyrivka, Poltavka, Chervone, and Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region.
In Kryvyi Rih and Kherson directions, the enemy is in positional defense, further fortifying positions and continuously shelling the positions of Ukrainian troops and a number of settlements on the right bank of the Dnipro River. Barrel and jet artillery was employed when Russians shelled Maryivka, Dnipropetrovsk region; Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Novotyahinka, Tokarivka, Poniativka, Antonivka, and Dniprovske, Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson.
Additional equipment is being deployed along the Russian defensive lines in the section of the Kakhovka - Melitopol highway in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions.
In the city of Sevastopol, the training is underway in one of the local educational facilities for operators of both Russian- and Iranian-made UAVs.
The training, which currently involves nearly 30 servicemen, lasts for three weeks.
The occupying forces continue to suffer losses. In the village of Kalanchak of Kherson region, the local hospital has not enough capacity to accommodate WIAs. About 40 wounded occupiers were brought to the settlement of Velyki Kopany in the previous day.
On November 21, in Zaporizhzhia region, the destruction was confirmed of the enemy S-300 anti-aircraft missile complex and five units of military equipment of various types in the area of the settlement of Polohy. In addition, 40 servicemen were injured. A checkpoint was destroyed near Vesele, Zaporizhzhia region, where 15 servicemen sustained injuries of various degrees of severity. In Melitopol, the enemy lost up to 30 people as wounded in action.
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force three times struck enemy manpower and equipment clusters, while missile and artillery forces engaged an enemy command and control post.
