Invaders massively demolishing apartment blocks in Mariupol
In the temporarily occupied Mariupol, the Russian invaders are massively demolishing damaged apartment blocks to hide traces of war crimes.
"Russians are massively demolishing apartment blocks in the city. This is evidenced by satellite imagery provided by Maxar Technologies. The houses where we once lived peacefully become 100% ruins. They are literally being erased from the face of the earth," the Mariupol City Council posted on Telegram.
According to the city council data, 2,257 apartment blocks were damaged by Russian shelling during the siege.
"That is, 90% of the entire housing stock. In total, more than 50% of apartment blocks were destroyed, which is 1,356 buildings," the city council clarifies.
As noted, the invaders do not stop, they continue destroying buildings and hiding the traces of war crimes.
Earlier it was reported that the Russians began demolishing houses in the historic center of the city to hide the consequences of their bombings.
