Ukrainian forces repel enemy attacks near 15 settlements

Units of the Ukrainian defense forces on Wednesday repelled attacks by Russian troops near 15 settlements.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past 24 hours, units of the defense forces have repelled attacks by Russian invaders outside the settlements of Ternova, Kharkiv Region; Stelmakhivka, Ploshchanka, Chervonopopivka and Bilohorivka, Luhansk region, and Bilohorivka, Berestove, Yakovlivka, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Opytne, Kurdiumivka, Maiorsk, Marinka, and Novomykhailivka, Donetsk region," the report said.

Over the past day, the enemy launched seven missile strikes and 16 air strikes, as well as more thann40 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.

The threat of Russian missile attacks on Ukraine’s energy system and critical infrastructure remains.

According to available information, in the temporarily occupied city of Yasynuvata in the Donetsk region, during the transportation of a unit of the occupying forces to combat positions, about 20 people with weapons from among former convicts escaped. Three of them were killed as part of the search operation.

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian occupiers plan to mobilize local residents in order to replenish current losses. In particular, in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, summonses were issued to men of conscription age with the requirement to come to the military enlistment office.

In the past day, the Ukrainian Air Force launched 17 strikes on areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons and military equipment, as well as two strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

Ukrainian soldiers shot down a Shahed-136 attack UAV and an Orlan reconnaissance drone.

Over the past 24 hours, missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian defense forces have hit six command centers, five personnel concentration areas, an artillery position, and two ammunition depots of the enemy.
