Defense Ministry awards infantry soldiers defending Bakhmut
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine gave infantry soldiers, who are currently defending Bakhmut direction, departmental awards.
As the Ministry of Defense posted on Telegram, Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar awarded soldiers on the eve of the Day of Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The soldiers were awarded "Badge of Honor", "For Exemplary Service"; service members who sacrificed their blood in battles for the freedom of Ukraine received "Wound Medal".
Moreover, some service members were given the "Steel Cross" award of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"It is a great honor and pleasure to talk to the best soldiers and convey the sincerest congratulations from the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Day of Ground Forces. We always talk at such meetings. I try to answer all the questions of our military the Ministry of Defense is in charge of," Malyar said.
She also noted that "the winter uniform is sufficient, the allowance is paid to everyone on time, there are no complaints about food."
"The frontline conditions dictate their rules of logistics and provision, everyone understands that. Other issues we discussed are off the record," Malyar noted.
As reported, the Day of Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is marked every year on December 12.
