Power outages in Moldova amid Russian missile strikes at Ukraine

The state-run Moldelectrica on Thursday, December 16, reported interruptions in the power system due to Russian missile attacks on the Ukrainian infrastructure.

"The risk of power outages in Moldova is very high," the company warned.

As reported by Ukrinform, on Friday morning Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. An air raid alert continues across Ukraine.

On December 5, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova announced that the Border Police found a fallen missile near Brychany. The agency initiated a criminal case into the incident.

Oleksiy Danilov, Secretary of the National Security Council, confirmed that a Russian missile hit the territory of Moldova.
