Russia deported about 2M Ukrainians, including children – President

Russia has deported about 2 million citizens from Ukraine, including a large number of children.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with the TF1 and LCI French TV channels, Ukrinform reports.

"The figures are different. The number of those deported ranged from 50,000 to 200,000 children, whose names or surnames or other investigative data were recorded, to several million people — women, children, the elderly. We believe that 2 million people, including a large percentage of children, were deported. Many children were taken hostage," the head of state said.

He said that employees of the Zaporizhzhia NPP in Enerhodar were blackmailed by taking their children allegedly to “recreation centers” in Russia, and then they demanded to cooperate with the occupiers, to exchange Ukrainian passports for Russian ones.

"What was it - deportation, hostages? This is terrorism," the President emphasized.

Zelensky added that there are many such cases related to employees of various enterprises located in the occupied territories.

As reported, according to data provided by juvenile prosecutors, a total of 450 children were killed and over 863 were injured in Ukraina as a result of the Russian aggression.
