Border guards shoot down enemy reconnaissance drone in Sumy region
Border guards shot down an enemy reconnaissance drone in Sumy region today.
“A border guard unit, which was on duty in one of the directions of the state border, spotted an enemy drone approaching. The border guards used an anti-drone gun and opened fire from small arms, hitting the air target. The fragments of the drone fell several hundred meters from the positions of the border guards,” the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports.
It is noted that most likely it was a reconnaissance drone that collected intelligence data in the border areas of Ukraine.
The border guards emphasized that enemy drones flying from the territory of Russia twice dropped explosive devices on the border areas in Sumy region over the past day.
