White House: Biden to announce significant new package of security assistance to Ukraine
During President Zelensky's visit to the United States, U.S. leader Joe Biden will announce a significant new package of security assistance to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression.
“During the visit [of President Zelensky to the US], President Biden will announce a significant new package of security assistance to help Ukraine defend itself against Russian aggression,” reads the statement by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
It is underscored that the visit of the President of Ukraine will underscore the United States’ steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine for as long as it takes, including through the provision of economic, humanitarian, and military assistance.
Biden and Zelensky will meet at the White House on December 21, after which the President of Ukraine will address a joint session of Congress, demonstrating the strong, bipartisan support for Ukraine.
As reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky left for a visit to the United States of America.
