Russians hit settlements of four districts in Kharkiv region

Over the past day, Russian troops struck the settlements of Chuhuiv, Kupyansk, Kharkiv, and Izium districts in Kharkiv region.

“On Tuesday, December 20, a residential building was destroyed in the enemy shelling of Vovchansk. A 72-year-old woman was injured and hospitalized. Doctors assess her condition as moderate," Oleh Synegubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.

In addition, a fire broke out at a civilian industrial facility in Izium district caused by an enemy missile attack.

Over the past day, the explosives technicians of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine disposed of 305 enemy landmines, explosive devices, and ammunition.

"Active military operations are ongoing on the contact line. The enemy tried to go on the offensive in the area of Masiutivka village, Kupyansk district, but failed and retreated with losses. Our defenders reliably hold their positions and destroy the enemy manpower and hardware," Synegubov added.

As reported, 1,663 civilians, including 74 children, have been killed in Kharkiv region as a result of the Russian military aggression.
