Reznikov thanks US for new military aid package
Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov has said that another military aid package to Ukraine from the United States is what the Ukrainian Armed Forces need to fight for life and freedom.
The press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Another U.S. military aid to the Ukrainian Armed Forces is not a Christmas present. This is what is necessary for work: on holidays and weekdays, day and night, in snow, rain and heat. This is a struggle for life, freedom, and the pursuit of happiness," the ministry's press service quoted Reznikov as saying.
Reznikov thanked U.S. President Joe Biden, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and the people of the United States for the assistance provided to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced on December 21 that Patriot systems were included in a new $1.85 billion military aid package to Ukraine.
