Woman killed in Russia’s shelling of Zaporizhzhia region
A woman, 40, has been killed in Russia’s artillery strike on the Zaporizhzhia region’s Polohy district. Additionally, Russian projectiles caused damage to a historical building in Huliaipole.
The relevant statement was made by the Main Department of the National Police of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Polohy district’s settlements are remaining under extensive enemy fire. Civilian houses are suffering in Orikhiv, Huliaipole and adjacent villages. Additionally, a historical building was hit in the district center of the Huliaipole united territorial community. Shell fragments caused damage to facades and the roof,” the report states.
Last night Russian occupiers attacked the Zaporizhzhia region’s village of Lezhyne with the S-300 missile systems. The missiles struck an educational complex, having destroyed it completely. In the neighboring houses, windows were blown out, facades, roofs and fences damaged.
