Invaders 60 times strike areas bordering Russia in Ukraine’s Sumy region

The Russian forces attacked the Myropil community in Sumy region, employing mortars.

The strikes came this morning, says Dmytro Zhivytskyi, chief of the regional military administration, Ukrinform reports.

"Today, after 8:00am, the enemy shelled the Myropil community with mortars. There were 60 hits," the official noted.

In addition, according to Zhyvytskyi, the Shalyhinska and Znob-Novhorodska communities of the region came under enemy fire late the night before.

"After 9:00pm on December 29, the Russians shelled the Shalyhinska community with mortars. There were 15 hits. Later, around midnight on December 29, the enemy hit the Znob-Novhorodska community, employing howitzers (19 hits), he clarified.

Information on destruction and casualties is being verified.

As reported earlier, on Thursday, the enemy 51 times struck communities of Sumy region bordering Russia.

Also, air defense forces shot down two enemy missiles over the region during yesterday's massive missile attack on Ukraine.
