Dnipropetrovsk region came under enemy attack twice on New Year's Eve.
Valentyn Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"On New Year's Eve, the Russians shelled the Nikopol district twice and injured a 48-year-old woman. Enemy Grad systems and heavy artillery deliberately struck residential neighborhoods precisely during the festive hours. Two communities - Chervonohryhorivka and Nikopol - were targeted," he wrote.
In Nikopol, up to ten apartment buildings and four private houses were damaged. A hospital, a bank, two pharmacies, a hotel, shops and a power line were hit.
In the Chervonohryhorivka community, no casualties were reported.
According to Reznichenko, air defense forces shot down an enemy Shahed drone over the region.
