Russians attack Dnipropetrovsk region with missiles, drones, heavy artillery
The Russians attacked Dnipropetrovsk region with missiles, kamikaze drones, and heavy artillery. No casualties were reported.
"Our sky defenders from the Air Command ‘East’ did not give the enemy a chance. They destroyed all four enemy air targets: a Kh-59MK2 missile and three kamikaze drones launched to destroy our energy infrastructure. Shahed drones were shot down in Dnipro and Kamyanske districts, the missile was downed when it was approaching Dnipro," Valentyn Reznichenko, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, posted on Telegram.
In Kamyanske district, fragments of a downed loitering munition fell on a private enterprise, causing a fire. Firefighters already put it out.
The Russians shelled Nikopol district with heavy artillery. Nikopol and Marhanets towns were hit four times. More than 20 enemy shells slammed into the towns.
A recreation center was damaged.
According to Reznichenko, there were no casualties.
As reported, the Russian army opened fire on two communities in Nikopol district on the evening of January 1.
