Germany transfers large batch of military aid to Ukraine
A new package of military aid transferred by Germany to Ukraine includes rocket launchers, vehicles, and drones.
This follows from the updated list published on the website of the German government on January 5, Ukrinform reports.
The new package includes 20 70mm rocket launchers on pick-up trucks with rockets, 30 drone detection systems, eight reconnaissance drones (26 in total), seven tracked and remote controlled infantry vehicles for support tasks, 63 pick-ups (80 were delivered before), two armored recovery vehicles (15 in total), a tank transporter tractor M1070 Oshkosh (13 in total), 27 anti-drone sensors and jammers (Ukraine earlier received 28), seven border protection vehicles (85 in total), and 12 heavy-duty trailer trucks.
Germany also supplied Ukraine with 17 load-handling trucks 8x8 (35 in total), 21 generators (before: 195), 32 mobile heating systems (before: 116), one more ambulance (36 in total), and 36,400 wool blankets.
Most of what is delivered to Ukraine comes not from Bundeswehr stocks, but from the industry.
Almost a hundred reconnaissance drones are to be delivered to Ukraine in the near future.
The federal government updates the list of weapons provided to Ukraine every week. It was last updated on December 20.
