Russians may use reconnaissance drones to attack civilian objects - General Pavlyuk
Oleksandr Pavlyuk, commander of the Kyiv Defense Forces, has said he does not rule out that the Russians may use their reconnaissance drones to attack civilian objects in Ukraine.
He said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
He recalled that recently, the Defense Forces of Ukraine, using EW means, had managed to land a Russian Orlan-10 capable of dropping VOG grenades in one area.
"Accordingly, the enemy is trying to use its reconnaissance UAVs to hit ground targets by dropping cluster munitions. It is possible that the enemy's targets may be civilian objects," Pavlyuk said.
According to him, "the Defense Forces are monitoring this situation and are taking the necessary measures to maximally protect our skies from enemy UAVs."
On January 4, on the eastern axis, anti-aircraft missile units of the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft, a Ka-52 attack helicopter and an Orlan-10 operational-tactical UAV.
