Kherson region struck 90 times over past day, casualties reported
On January 11, 2023, Russian troops opened fire on the Kherson region 90 times. One civilian was reported killed and five injured.
The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Yaroslav Yanushevych on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“According to the data from Kherson Regional Military Administration, Russian invaders shelled the Kherson region’s territory 90 times. They struck with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), mortars and tanks,” the report states.
The city of Kherson came under enemy fire 27 times. In particular, Russian troops targeted residential areas. Enemy projectiles hit a maternity home, detached houses and apartment blocks.
Over the past day, due to Russian attacks, one civilian has been killed, and five people have received injuries of various severity levels.
A reminder that, on January 11, 2023, the Russian military struck a critical infrastructure facility in the Kherson region’s Darivka community. Three people were reported injured.
