Russian missile strike on apartment block in Dnipro: 18 injured, two children among them
Eighteen civilians have been reported injured in Russia’s missile strike on an apartment block in the city of Dnipro, including two children.
The relevant statement was made by Dnipropetrovsk Rregional Military Administration Head Valentyn Reznichenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“According to the preliminary data, 10 people were injured. Three of them are in serious condition. All the injured were taken to hospital,” Reznichenko wrote.
Later, Reznichenko added that the number of those injured increased to 18. Rescue works are underway.
The 9-storey apartment block was hit with a Russian missile. Floors from 2 to 9 were destroyed in one of its entrances.
The fire broke out within an area of 70 square meters. Additionally, 15 cars parked nearby caught fire. Those injured and killed may be trapped under the rubble.
