Enemy strikes Sumy region 44 times, damaging school and kindergarten
During the day, Russian troops launched 44 strikes on the border communities of Sumy region, damaging a school and a kindergarten.
"During the day, the Russians launched 44 strikes on the border areas of Sumy region. Bilopillia, Khotin, Seredyna-Buda, and Krasnopillia communities came under fire," Dmytro Zhyvytskyy, Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, posted on Facebook.
The enemy fired 12 mines and dropped two explosive devices from a drone along the border of Krasnopillia community.
The Russians also shelled Bilopillia community with mortars. Fifteen strikes were recorded. A school and a garage in the village of Pavlivka were damaged.
Seredyna-Buda and Khotin communities also came under mortar fire (three and 14 strikes, respectively). In Kindrativka, Khotin community, a kindergarten and a school stadium were damaged.
Nobody was injured.
Over the past day, Russian aggressors shelled four border communities of Sumy region, injuring an elderly man.
