Child's body retrieved from under rubble of apartment block in Dnipro destroyed by Russian missile
In Dnipro, rescuers retrieved the body of a child from under the rubble of a residential building destroyed by a Russian missile on January 14.
That’s according to the Deputy Head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Ukrinform reports.
"Dnipro. At 09:46, the body of a child was retrieved from under the rubble of a destroyed residential building on the 4th floor," Tymoshenko wrote.
According to him, the death toll reached 41 (including four children); 79 people have been injured (including 16 children), and 39 have been rescued (including six children).
Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov later reported from the site that more bodies were found so the death toll is up to 44.
As reported, on January 14 in Dnipro, a Russian missile hit an apartment block, obliterating 72 flats.
As of Tuesday morning, 25 people are reported missing.
The search and rescue operation is ongoing. Some 90% of the wreckage has been dismantled.
