Britain to give Ukraine 600 Brimstone missiles - Wallace

The British Government as part of the ongoing military assistance to Ukraine intends to send 600 Brimstone air-to-surface missiles to repel Russian aggression.

That’s according to Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, Reuters reports.

Speaking at a meeting with other defense chiefs at the Tapa base in Estonia, he said: "I can say we're also going to send another 600 Brimstone missiles into theater which will be incredibly important in helping Ukraine dominate the battlefield."

Wallace also said 2023 will be the year when the world shows Vladimir Putin that the allies are going to continue to support Ukraine, and that the partners are “in it for the long haul".

"If President Putin is banking on us getting bored this year, he's wrong. We will plan for this year and next year and the year after and beyond," he said.

The minister recalled that Britain is also sending Ukraine 14 Challenger 2 tanks.

As reported earlier, Ben Wallace on January 16 announced the largest defense package the UK Government is providing to Ukraine in the wake of continued Russian aggression.
