Yermak: It’s impossible to press on Ukraine in Crimea and Donbas issues
Ukraine's victory in the war unleashed by Russia implies the full restoration of territorial integrity within internationally recognized borders.
Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak said this, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 19, Ukrinform reports.
Answering a question about whether Ukraine's victory in the war against Russia might not imply the restoration of control over Crimea, Yermak said: "This is absolutely unacceptable."
He emphasized that Ukraine sees victory – and this vision is shared by partners – as the complete restoration of its territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders, "including Donbas and Crimea".
Commenting on the remarks about whether some partners can press on the leadership of Ukraine to start negotiations with Russia and consider the possibility of not returning Crimea and part of the eastern regions, the Head of the President's Office said: "It is impossible to put pressure on us. And everyone who knows President Zelensky and his team well already knows that it is impossible to press."
Yermak emphasized that Ukraine and its partners will make every effort to end the war this year. "All Ukrainians hope that this year will bring victory," he said.
